#AD060 Antique Advertising Figure Stoneware Jug

In wonderful condition, this is a great early English pottery Bass beer British advertising piece depicting surreal and wild looking transferware beer barrel men. They are dancing all around a handsome Victorian era pottery earthenware jug. It has a clearly impressed BASS beer mark on jug bottom. The figural illustrated advertising men are a series of 9 different early cartoon and comic humourous advertising figures, all appearing in various poses. It is a very fun early ad figure.

This is a great original and rare 1890's to early 1900's, Victorian to Edwardian era piece in wonderful condition, no chips, cracks or restoration. By 1877, one million of these Bass beer barrels were produced annually in Burton-On-Trent, the largest brewery in the world and Bass was UK's best selling beer. It was found in Plymouth, Devon, England.
