Description

This Magnificent Boudoir or Bed Doll were first seen on the French Courtier designer Paul Poiret's catwalk in the 1920's. The dolls were dressed in the identical frocks as the mannikins who carried the dolls down the catwalk while displaying the frocks. In 1924 a famous nightclub in Paris handed out these dolls to their chic patrons as souvenirs of their visits. The doll is in very good condition for its age ( please see photos ) and is dressed in the original clothes. Marlena Dietrich and Clara Bow would take their boudoir dolls on set when they appeared on screen. Should you require any further information or pictures please do not hesitate to contact us.
