Description

A large early Victorian walnut jewellery box, the highly figured veneers used on all sides, the box edged throughout with an unusual white metal banding, the sides with matching recessed carry handles. The top has an engraved shield shaped large cartouche.

The box has been re-lined in a plush stone grey velvet with complimentary black grosgrain cotton fabric to give it a clean and modern but classic feel. The two leather fronted drawers with original silver plate handles are similarly lined.

With working lock & tassled key.
