Artist Biography
Dorothy Hall was a prolific illustrator of Children’s literature from the late 1930’s up to the 1970’s. She is best known for her illustrations for a number of Enid Blyton Books including ‘The Secrets of Moon Castle’. Additional to her work with Enid Blyton she illustrated a series of books for characters such as Teddy Tar and Blinky Bill. There are numerous published and unpublished books that she illustrated all of which were for children, most were old fairy tales or stories about fairies.

This is a delightful pencil and watercolour original illustration for a book (unknown) of a Rose Fairy. The painting was purchased with a number of works all of which came direct from Dorothy Hall’s Studio.
