Description

This is a very attractive and rare original travel poster and brochure for the Cote D’Azur area of France. This is a foldout brochure with one side filled with info on different areas in the Cote D’Azur and hotels, the other is a beautiful poster of two paintings by Leonard Newell. The main image is a very stylish picture of two gents sailing and this is flanked to the left by a lady picking lemons.
This is a very rare poster, a similar sold at Christies in 2005, though that one was missing the lady picking lemons.
The poster measures 73.5cm x 25cm.


Condition.
The condition is generally very good, there are a couple of condition issues. The brochure has spent most of its life pasted into a book. It was only glued in on one leaf of the brochure ( the far right when looking at the front ). It has been cut out of the book, but is still attached to the card. This can not be seen from the front, but don’t feel it can be removed from the card without damaging it.
There is a tear to the top of the first fold to the right.
The image is fantastic and very bright.
