Georgian rosewood trifold fire screen with interesting Royal history. The 3 panels with chamfered glass and with a turned spindle stretcher and well carved legs. The underneath with the original brass castors and the George IV stamp and 'Windsor Castle Room 332'

Windsor Castle Room 332 relates to an inventory of the contents of Windsor Castle in 1866. This room was a Visitor’s bedroom, later occupied by Sir Francis Laking, physician to Queen Victoria. It remains a senior staff bedroom when the court is in residence. In that inventory the firescreen is catalogued as item no.31 in the room.
