Stunning George 111, silver mounted, mahogany writing slope. With stamped silver (Samuel Hennell London 1816) hinges, lifting handles and inscribed top plate 'Ann Richards to D.R.Payne'  The locking top opening to reveal the original leathered flap, inkwells and pen tray. Under this flap is a further double leathered writing slope. Under the pen tray is a button to release secret flap hiding three drawers.  The writing slopes cover two further storage areas and under the top is yet another leathered flap with compartment and the original and hinged document holder. Inside was the previous dealers label in Florida.
