Published by Smith, Elder & Co, London 1898-1908
Bound in later half red leather bindings by the Bickers Bindery of London. Marbled endpapers, frontis plate to each volume other than the Christmas Book as published, numerous illustrations throughout that are full page & among text.
Each book measures approx 8 x 6 inches
Some very light rubbing to covers, volumes 2 & 3 with couple of minor scrapes to leather on rear boards, several volumes with some minor fading to cloth on edges of boards Some very occasional light foxing to pages
Overall in lovely condition with gilt to all spines bright, no cracking to hinges & nearly all pages clean
A classic set of novels by Thackeray & bound in good quality leather bindings
