Breton Carved Oak Marriage Double Bed

French Carved Double Bed, this is a Marriage Bed in the Breton style, depicting scenes from the country side with young Men and young Women and their meeting each other
This is a superb piece 19th Century Carving, the head board has the Breton Wheel of life and a musician on either side. The foot board has 3 scenes one of the young ladies and one of the young men playing instruments and in the middle the couple, as an expression of hope for a long life together
The bed is 62” high at the head end and it takes a mattress 54” wide and 74” long, and the bed will be supplied with a new pine slatted base
