Large French Butchers Block, Kitchen Island

This is a good large size and obviously a heavy piece, the Maple top is made with end on grain has seen a few years of fairly hard work, but still has a great deal of useful life left in it, and has a wonderful patination, it has the most fantastic waved shape with metal bound corners and iron rods through the centre, the end section is made in Heavy Duty Low Density Plastic and replaces a broken marble slab

The stand is made in pine stands on 6 chunky 4” thick legs, it has 2 deep drawers with iron handles and it would make a superb rustic farmhouse kitchen island
The block is 32” high on its base, it is 82” long and 30” deep
