Edwardian Grocers Shop Advertising Chair, Scottish Enamel Sign Watson’s Matchless Soap

Watson’s Matchless Cleanser, a shop Advertising Chair, the enamel sign is double sided and has been built in to the chair back.
This chair would have been in use in the Grocery Shop for a weary shopper to rest in, the enamel sign can be read from both back and front of the chair.
The Enamel sign has stood up well over the years, it has minor rust patches but in generally nice condition for its age.
The chair however, and it is the original one that the sign was set into, is somewhat shabby now, the green paint is flakey and worn but has a delightful look, there are no wobbles or loose joints but there is evidence of an old repair to the seat
The chair is 36” high at the back, it is 16” wide and 14” deep
