Description

Set of 8, 19th Century Carved Oak and Leather Dining Chairs

This is a very handsome good quality set of Cromwellian style dining chairs dating from 1880, the Oak frames have caved front rails and the chunky front legs have acanthus leaf carvings
The chairs are upholstered in their original brass studded brown leather, back front and the seats. The leather is beautifully soft, it is in no way brittle, however it is worn in places and there is a repair to one of the seats, but this is sound and is not very noticeable, the chairs do have a delightfully cosy shabby country house look
The chairs are in good sound condition with the expected dings, the leather is intact but worn
The chairs are 37” high at the back, 20” across the front and seats are 19” high
