Salesman’s Sample Victorian Painted Tin Hat Box, Drew and Sons Trunk Makers

This is a unique piece, it is a 19th Century Traveling salesman sample of tin trunk, if you look carefully you can see “NOT TO BE REMOVED FROM STORE” written on the back

The sample trunk is from Drew and Sons of Piccadilly, the trunk is in a scumble finish and has gold shadowed lettering on the outside and navy interior, with a carrying handle on the top and a brass latch to the front (we do not have the key)

A charming, pretty and useful piece and it is in fair condition both inside and out
The Hat Box is 11”high, 15” wide and 10” deep
