19th Century Portuguese Vintage Travel Chest or Steamer Trunk,

A very useful decorative travel trunk, the Trunk is covered with a colourful embossed wax card, which has large colourful sunflowers all over, the pictures are in good bright condition on all sides of the trunk, over this there is walnut and iron strapping.

The trunk is sturdy it has carrying handles and 2 working catches, the central lock does not work the interior paper lining is a bit worn but clean, and the box has been treated for woodworm

A superb piece in good condition for its age, with the addition of a glass top it would make a very unusual coffee table
The trunk is 40” wide, 19” deep and 18” high
