Description

Large 19th Century Adams Style Carved Fire Place

This mid 19th Century FirePlace was rescued from a Manor House during extensive renovations

The Fireplace is in a hard wood, the fire opening has a carved female caryatid on either side and the panels above are decorated in the Robert Adams style with swags and flowers, the detail of all of these is very fine indeed

The Fire place is in Good condition structurally, it has been painted at some time in the past and a little paint is still visible, it now has a deep waxed finish

This is a very heavy piece, it does come into 2 to help with transportation

The fireplace is 51” high, 84” wide and 14” deep, the fire inset is 48” wide and 34” high
