J.W. BENSON 9Kt Yellow Gold Swiss Made
Half Hunter Pocket Watch - Birmingham 1929

A 9 Kt yellow gold J.W. Benson keyless wind, half hunter pocket watch, made in Switzerland and hallmarked for Birmingham 1929. This watch is complete with original JW Benson box.

Dial: The white enamel dial has black Roman numerals with outer minute divisions and a subsidiary seconds dial at the six. The dial has blued double spade hands. The protective glass is in good condition. The dial is signed in the upper centre: “JW Benson, London”.

Movement: The anchor lever movement has a compensation steel balance and blued steel balance spring and is has fully screwed jewels. The movement is in great working condition however, we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch. The movement is signed: “J.W. Benson, London, Swiss Made, 17 Jewels”.

Case: The pocket watch lies in a 9 Kt yellow gold half hunter ALD case with a smooth finish. The inner side of the case is stamped 375 for 9Kt gold, signed: ALD and numbered: 458472. The cuvette is decoratively signed: “Presented To Albert Mann by “The Star” in recognition of Sixty Years Loyal Service, April 1960”.

The 9 Kt gold JW Benson pocket watch is complete with original JW Benson box. The box is signed: JW Benson Ltd, Watchmakers, Jewellers & Silversmiths, 25 Old Bond Street”.
