Rare Silver Pair Cased Verge Pocket Watch

Made in England circa 1776

This is a remarkably rare George III silver pair cased verge pocket watch made by John Camden of London, England circa 1776. This pocket watch is in excellent condition considering it is nearly 250 years old, making it an absolute must-have collector’s item!

DIAL: The white enamel dial has black Roman numerals and outer minute divisions with Arabic numerals at every five-minute mark. The beetle and poker hands and the original bull eye mineral glass add to the unique character of this magnificent 18th century timepiece!

MOVEMENT: The keyless fusee movement has a sprung three-arm balance with a pierced foliate balance cock, silvered regulating dial and square baluster pillars. It is signed Jno Camden, London and numbered 30614.

The movement is currently in good working condition but due to its antique nature, we cannot guarantee precise accuracy.

CASE: This pocket watch lies in matching polished silver pair cases with a stitch work case liner which reads “Long may….live and be happy”..
