Description
Heavy George III Silver Table BellFully hallmarked on the rim: London 1784, Andrew Fogelberg & Stephen Gilbert, lion passant. Both the handle and the clanger are marked with maker's mark and a lion passant. There is also a Barron crown crest with some intelligible letters.
Andrew Fogelberg was a renowned London silversmith (active ca 1773 to ca 1815), Master to Paul Storr, and sold his business to Storr in 1796.
Very heavy object - weight 141g.Stands 11.5cm tall.
In excellent condition. Beautiful ringing sound.
