Description

An elegant 19th century French Louis XV style bureau de dame, crafted in richly figured rosewood with the delicately inlaid floral marquetry fall front opening to a dark tooled leather writing surface and a fitted interior of small drawers and pigeonholes.

A brass gallery and ormolu mounts accentuate the serpentine form, which is raised on graceful cabriole legs terminating in decorative sabots.

Chic and compact, a refined writing desk offering both charm and practicality — ideal for a home office, reading nook or elegant bedroom corner.

In very good antique condition with light surface wear and an appealing aged patina. Structurally sound, clean and ready to place in the home.
