Description

A set of four Georgian mahogany dining chairs in the Chippendale style, each finely constructed with a shaped crest rail above a pierced interlacing splat, over a drop-in seat and square subtly chamfered legs united by stretchers.

With a warm, natural patina built from centuries of use, the restrained Chippendale-influenced design ensures timeless versatility. As a group of four they form an elegant small dining set, but are equally well suited as side chairs in a hall, study or bedroom.

Very good antique condition, with expected surface wear commensurate with age and use. The drop-in seats are covered in plain calico, ready for re-upholstery if desired, though fully serviceable as they stand. Structurally all sound, clean and ready to place.
