Description

A late Georgian mahogany tripod table, the solid single-piece circular top and original four-post birdcage mechanism allowing the tabletop to both rotate and tilt, over a finely turned column raised on three cabriole legs. The top and birdcage can be lifted off the column when the original locating peg is withdrawn.

Very good antique condition with some surface wear consistent with age. There is light, long-set age line to the top as shown, entirely stable and commensurate with a single-board top of this period. Structurally sound, stable, clean and ready to place in the home.
