Description

A superb large mahogany secretaire chest of drawers dating to the Georgian period with a wonderful concealed drop front writing desk opening to a beautifully fitted interior.

The locking desk drawer, concealed as the two top drawers drops down, released by a push button on either side, opening to a large writing surface with various drawers and a central locking inlaid door. There are also two secret drawers to the top of the interior.

This all sits above three large graduated drawers, all with original drop handles and the piece is raised on attractive bracket feet.

Very good condition, structurally all in good order with a good, desirable amount of age related wear and patina commensurate with age and use including a large old ring mark to the top and some ink staining to the desk surface.
