Kidney shaped marquetry writing table circa 1875.
A superb example of fine Victorian furniture in original condition, with no losses or additions. They tooled inset leather writing surface within a finely detailed marquetry surround, depicting cornucopia and a basket issuing fruit and flowers, over a shaped frieze fitted with a drawer. The table stands on elegant cabriole legs supports with the original mounts, giving the whole piece a very light and delicate look. Ht 74, W 116, D 66 cms
