Description

Circa 1820, very unusual leather and brass studded storage trunk. The leather is well worn but still has a stylish look about it. The top with its studded sections giving a pattern in the centre almost like a cartouche has got a large brass plaque saying "Alex Ritchie". The quarter brackets and straps are proud and all made in cast brass. The top is hinged and opens to reveal a paper lined interior. The front and sides also have studding. There are two large lifting handles left and right in cast iron. Again these are framed in studs. There are further brass brackets and straps throughout.
