Description
Circa 1880. A quality set of 10 mahogany dining chairs by John Taylor and Son of Edinburgh. The set consisting of 8 side chairs and a pair of armchairs, each of the chairs is stamped to the underside of the seat rail, with a curved carved shaped back with vines and grapes, the two uprights with oval carved flower heads, upholstered back, arms and seats. Back legs are square and slightly out swept, the elegant front legs turned, fluted and ring turned, resting on quality cast brass castors.Armchairs – 102cm H, 58cm W, 53cm D
