Description

Circa 1920’s. A George II style shaped front walnut chest of diminutive portions, the top in book matched figured walnut with a broad crossbanding on the front and sides following the form of the chest, with 4 shaped drawers each crossbanded with burr walnut facing and elegant cast brass swan drop handles with a pierced circular back plate, beneath the bottom drawer there’s a shaped mounding, the chest rests on 4 elegant squat cabriole legs with quarter blocks with well carved shells on the knees finishing on a pad foot, the chest has great colour and patination.
