Oil on canvas circa 1900, head study of a horse,"Mayday", signed George Paice. Canvas 14" x 18" and with frame24" x 20".
George Paice 1854-1925, Exhibited at the Royal Academy, and Royal Society of British Artists. Known mainly for painting horses and dogs. George Paice studied at the RA, gaining notoriety among the wealthy, becoming much sought after by the aristocracy. His paintings remained in private collections until 2 decades ago when they started to appear in world known auction houses
