A George III Period Plum-Pudding Mahogany straight fronted Chest of Drawers, the rectangular crossbanded moulded edge top above two short over three long drawers with brass swan neck handles and fluted quarter columns to the front corners and the whole raised on ogee shaped bracket feet.

Circa 1770

Note: This very good example is typical of those produced in the north of England, featuring quartered fluted columns to the front corners. This device is also seen on contemporary tallboys.
