This is a brilliant vintage oak faced drapers/ haberdashery cabinet. It has 32 drawers, 16 in each of the top and bottom sections. These are enclosed by glass sliding doors, keeping the dust out. It stands on a flat plinth base and is solid and steady. It dates to the 1930s and would originally have been used in a retail setting. This one lived its life in a gentleman’s clothing establishment in Nottinghamshire until I rescued it. Today these are sought after within the home. It is perfect for shoes, I’m told. We have one in our home which my husband uses in the farm office for invoices and his unreasonably huge collection of tractor catalogues. It looks good and the doors mean you can see at a glance what you are looking for. The cabinet dates to around 1930/40. It holds plenty and sits well. It is a lovely golden oak colour and the drawers all slide as they should.

The cabinet is in good condition, the finish is the original 1930s golden oak and is in good condition. The top doors are the original plate glass, the bottom two are modern replacements of safety glass, as a result the handles on the bottom are slightly different but still fit the look. The whole piece is nice and solid, no wobbles or loose joints.

The collectors cabinet measures measures 189cm wide x 59cm deep x 138cm tall. All measurements are taken at the widest points.

Delivery for this item is listed at £100 but please message with your postcode for a quote before buying as it may be slightly more or less, depending where you are. Please note I normally send a courier but we would deliver this ourselves so it may take a little longer depending on where you are and dates, but not much, we are fairly flexible. The reason for this is that it is heavy so best moved without the drawers and glass doors and couriers don’t have time (or patience) to do this. It takes a while to remove and replace 32 drawers. Alternatively you are welcome to come and pick up from me in South Yorkshire or send your own courier.
