Description

Beautiful pair of original copper lanterns from the Liner SS Paris, from the time when it was the Blue Ribbon Holder for the fastest crossing of the Atlantic Ocean.

They were originally designed to be in the galley way below deck and there was a long run of them the whole length of the ship. It ran aground of the coast of Cornwall and was stripped out to lighten it for re-floating, these were removed from the ship then. After re-floating it returned to France for upgrades and a re-fit.

These lanterns are in great condition with a few minor alterations over the years, mainly to the electrics. They have been fully rewired now and ready for use in the home.

These measure 47cm high by 20cm square, are suitable for standing, wall mounting and hanging from the integral eyelets.
