Description

A charming quirky mid Victorian occasional table that has a rise and fall mechanism, although primitive it is effective. The table is in mahogany with shaped skirt, octagonal column with turned base and finished in carved mahogany feet with original inset captive castors. While the top has been refinished the rest of it retains the original polish and has just been waxed to give it a little glow.
It has had a few repairs over the years, most notably two to the skirt as can be seen in the pictures and areas of ancient worm long gone.
Measures 70cm tall when closed when open it has two other heights, 84cm at first position and 94cm at its tallest. The diameter is 48.5cm.
