Description

A superb example of an 18th century Danish oak dome topped trunk with elaborate and decorative iron mounts. The mounts have wear and tear and a few areas of loss but minor. The original 18th century green paint can be seen through the 19th century painted finish that is currently there which has the H.Pieterson name and 1862 date. The lock and key work well, the lock is rather large and grande. It Measures 136cm wide by 63cm deep and 70cm high.
