Description

Delightful Petite solid Oak Longcase with 8 day Striking Movement by Dallaway & Son with 8 inch Brass Dial. William Dallaway set up in 1773 and was the first maker in Scotland of Japanned Clock Dial In Scotland. In 1797 his Son joined the Company. so, this movement was made between then and 1812. The Attractive Solid Oak Case of Slim Petite dimensions was probably made in the early 20th c. Original Pendulum Bob & Leader with replaced wooden shaft.hood with attractive Barleytwist Columns
