Description

A stunning pair of 19th Century glass urns standing on square stepped bases and faceted stems. The bowls of these antique urns are finely etched with swags and floral decoration, the lower portion has subtle faceting. This exquisite etching is repeated on the covers which have faceted knops. The condition is excellent, there are a few inclusions in the glass, obviously acquired during manufacture, and in no way detrimental. These superb urns have an excellent provenance, originally in the collection of Count Redmond Clayton-Browne-Clayton of the Villa La Punta, Liguria, Italy and through the family by descent. A wonderful pair of 19th Century glass urns to add style to any setting.
