Description

A very decorative 19th Century scrolled edge papier mache tray with mother of pearl inlay. The black background is an excellent contrast for the painted gilt foliage and rim. This large tray is in good condition, there is evidence of historic restoration, but this is not easily detectable and is not detrimental to the appearance. A piece from the Victorian era thatv adapts well to the present time for use as a coffee table or very decorative display item.
