Description

A decoratively carved early 18th Century Welsh oak coffer with two plank top raised on stile legs. This antique coffer is in very good condition, the interior is very clean and it has the rich colour and patina that is only acquired over very many years. It has some minor historic repairs compatible with age. It is believed that this coffer was once owned by a member of Jane Austin's family. In more recent decades it has been in an important private collection. An early Welsh oak coffer that offers excellent storage and country charm.
