Early 19th Century German School Antique Oil on Canvas Military Portrait of Captain Peter Friedrich Ludwig Ernst (B.1796 - D.1841).A charming German School head and shoulders portrait of Captain Peter Friedrich Ludwig Ernst (B.1796 - D.1841), Army Captain of the 1st Oldenburg Infantry Regiment. Label verso confirms.
19th Century, Circa 1830.
Unsigned.
Presented in later hand-finished wooden frame.
Condition - laid on to later board. Very minor loss to the paint on the sitters collar (left collar) however this could easily be restored.
