Description

A stunning hand carved fireplace in a cream, honey coloured limestone called pierre de Savonnières. It has stylised paterae end blocks and step fluted jambs. A plain moulded shelf over a paneled frieze which is carved with Vitruvian scroll motif centered by a small shell. It dates to the end of the nineteenth century.
