Description

Stunning set of six beautifully designed sterling silver Norwegian spoons with guilloche enamel over crown motif.

Designed by T H Marthinsen of Oslo and signed with "Sterling" (ie 92.5% purity silver).

The colours are bright and the bowl of the spoon is gilt/gold washed.

The enamel is in perfect / pristine condition which is rare as it is prone to damage/chips.

The spoons measure 6 inches in length.

They are housed in the original retailer's box that has the shop details printed in gold on the inside of the lid and a wonderful shell shaped gilt clasp.

The box itself has a delicate basket weave type pattern.
Please note that the box is in good complete condition with some blemishes that are commensurate with age.

Scandinavian silver from the mid-Century period has become increasingly popular in recent years and it is not surprising as they capture an era of progress after the war.
