Description

A high quality swagger stick, in original fitted case. Silver marks JHR - John Henry Rawlings, London 1893. Inscription on centre silver band Presented to Mr John Baddison(?) Choirmaster by the Members of St. James' Choir as a token of respect and esteem July 2nd 1894. Monogram engraved to top of silver cap. Finely engraved handle with lacquered wood - tiny chip to lacquer. Interior of case in exceptionally good condition, blue satin and velvet. Case is shaped to fit the baton. Hinges and clasps of case are in good working condition. Outside leather of the case has some damage. Many more photographs available on request. Case is 55cm by 7cm , depth is 4.5 cm graduating to 3cm. Stick is 50.5cm long, cap is 3.5cm diameter.
