Description

For sale an early Victorian mahogany convex glass fusee dial clock with 8 day movement inscribed Ashdown Finch Lane circa 1845-1855

According to Christies, Ashdown were listed at 17 Finch Lane in 1848 and probably established their business in Cornhill between 1843 and 1848. The premises were previously occupied by James Comer Tobacconist in the 1843 Post Office Directory.

The clock has been overhauled and serviced by a BAFRA member horologist and is ready for use. A truly stunning piece.
