A Victorian Decanter with Silver plated coaster

Description
A handsome full size Victorian decanter and silver plated coaster. This splendid and imposing example has a wide body and tapering neck, with three applied neck rings. There is extensive hobnail and starburst cutting and a polished pontil mark to the base.The stopper is of mushroom form and the neck is flared and slice cut to the underside.
The silver plated coaster has four steeple legs and pad feet, with two beaded supporting bars and a solid base. A stunning, usable example and a great gift idea.

ConditionThe glass has no serious chips or cracks, it has some fleabites to the points of the hobnails in places, difficult to see in the cutting. There is a small 'slice' from the peg of the stopper, which may be the removal of an old chip, or simply in the
manufacture. The stopper sits firmly and tightly. The plated coaster is very good, with some very minor pitting to the underside, commensurate with age and use.
