Description

These exquisite solid silver asparagus tongs are dated Birmingham 1900 and bear the marks of the reputed Hilliard & Thomason. The blades and the top handle are engraved with sprigs of foliage. No initials or inscriptions.
They are presented in their original Morocco leather case, a rare occurrence.
They have a good gauge of silver, a testimony of their quality.
Hallmarks:
H&T for Hilliard & Thomason.
Lion Passant.
Birmingham Assay mark.
Date letter "a" for 1900.
Condition:
Excellent.
No dings. No dents. No repairs.
