Description

This truly delightful small size George III silver christening mug is hallmarked for London 1798 and bears the marks of John Emes. The barrel shaped body engraved with concentric bands and centered by a laurel leaf oval reserve.
The reserve engraved with a monogram.
Reeded handle and rich gilt interior.

Hallmarks:

J.E for John Emes
Lion Passant.
London Assay mark.
Duty Mark.
Date letter "c" for 1798.
