Description

This charming Victorian solid silver pill box is dated Birmingham 1898. Of heart-shaped form, the domed cover and sides profusely embossed with foliate designs. The hinged lid with vacant reserve. Both lid and base with decorative pinched borders. The inner base lined with blue velvet. Would be an ideal engagement ring box or Valentine's gift.

Hallmarks:

Maker's marks erased.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "y" for 1898.

Very good.
