Description

This delightful small size silver and pique tortoiseshell scent bottle is dated Birmingham 1909 and was made by Levi & Salaman. The pique tortoiseshell hinged domed lid with classical decorations. Mounted on a very unusual and tactile clear glass body and fitted with the original glass stopper.

Hallmarks:

L&S for Levi & Salaman.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "k" for 1909.

Condition:

Good.
Tortoiseshell lid in good condition but with a little uneveness of gloss at places.
Glass in perfect condition. No chips or cracks.
Silver sides in very good condition.
Hinge very sound.

Depth: 3cm / 1 inch.
