Rare Victorian cast silver salt spoon, Birm 1851


Description
This unusual and beautiful quality early Victorian Rococo Revival silver condiment spoon was made by David Pettifer and is dated Birmingham 1851. The cast silver handle entwined with a snake, the head of the snake terminating in the silver gilt shell-shaped bowl. Shell terminal.Hallmarks:
D.F for David Pettifer.
Duty Mark.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "C" for 1851.
