Description

This exquisite silver pin cushion modelled as a flower basket was made circa 1850. These early pin cushions are quite scarce hence very desirable.
The silver basket engraved with flowers and shells and fitted with a rope-twist articulated handle. The base with basket-weave decorations. The blue velvet cushion is most probably Victorian.

Hallmarks:

Unmarked as was often the case with small items but tested and guaranteed as silver.

Height up to handle: 3.5cm / 1.4 inches.
Width: 2.5cm / 1 inch.
Depth: 1.5 cm / 0.5 inch.
