This is a rare and rather exquisite French Palais Royal ormulu mounted casket. The egg-shaped opaline milk glass body having a gilt ormulu hinged lid with elaborate handles and decorations. Raised on a circular alabaster base.

Condition:

Very good.
Glass in perfect condition. No chips or cracks.
Strong hinge.
Ormulu decorations in good condition.
