Kadensek and Ward

Description

Large heavy ceramic lion after the lion created by Antonio Canova (1757 - 1822). This one was created we believe in the 19th century.
There is some crazing to the glaze to the lion resting on its plinth of underglaze colour wash (perhaps emulating marble).
There is an old restored chip to one corner (in image).
Size 55cm long 31cm height 19cm width.
We welcome visits to our 3000 sq ft warehouse in Norwich (postcode NR18 9PX), but please ask first as this is by appointment only. If travelling by train , we can meet you at Norwich Station or more locally, Wymondham Station.

Delivery to any address in the UK by ourselves or courier and will charge very reasonable rates.

Deliveries to the South-east are weekly.
